Recently refurbished chalets, each with private deck, are charming and comfortable and the outside shower area is a winner with guests. Guests enjoy gathering at the bar to swop game viewing stories, especially of the Big Five. Game viewing can also be enjoyed round the lodge, as Nyala and warthogs come in most days to enjoy Idubes green lawn and fallen leaves. There is a swing bridge leading from the lodge to a hide at a dam, so guests can come and go in safety. Dining is done under the stars, weather permitting, and whether this is at the lodge boma, or at the bush venue where guests will be entertained with African song and dance, meals at Idube are always one of the highlights of the day.
